Te Taiao I Nature specimens

Crackerjack Creatives undertook the task of breathing life into diverse scientific specimen models through the application of intricate paint finishing. These models, crafted from a variety of materials and also featured aged color-bleached organic specimens, required a skilled touch.

Collaborating closely with specialist scientistsfrom Te Papa to ensure utmost species accuracy, Sacha Lees employed a finely tuned airbrush painting technique and meticulous attention to detail. The result was a striking and remarkably realistic collection of specimens spanning aquatic, reptile, insect, and gastropoda models.

Sacha Lees spearheaded this project in her role as the lead painter at Human Dynamo.

Tekapo dark sky experience

Crackerjack Creatives brought to life five expansive illuminated translucent spheres spanning dimensions from 0.9 to 2.4 meters in diameter.

These spheres served as a portrayal of stars within an interactive science and tātai aroraki (Māori astronomy) experience. The airbrushed paint finish applied by Sacha Lees resulted in a visually stunning and otherworldly encounter for participants.

Sacha Lees fulfilled this work during her tenure at Human Dynamo.
